How on earth did you do the hair with just pencil. I love the shading, as if every strand has been done. there are even extra strands whoch help to bring out the texture... awesome.

oh....about the hair, I followed the shape of a hair portion with many lines. I made the lines fade where i wanted the highlight to come. And for the extra strands, well i just put them mostly at the edge of the hair where the curves are. Hope it helps!

I really really like the eyes... but before i comment.. is the effect of painting photoshopped or old school paper and paint? :o

sorry of I sound a bit ignorant... well cuz i am.. so..

Thank you! and this is all photoshop. I did tweak the colors around a bit sometimes, and every once in awhile I would move parts around with lasso+move, but otherwise it's just the brush tool all on one layer, including the textures. Yay custom brush spammage.

I'm actually still not completely satisfied with the eyes, the nose, the mouth... individually I think I draw them fine but the way they connect to each other still bothers me... :\ I think I might just keep fixing this up actually. hahha.
